ABOUT THE FOUNDATION
In 1974, the Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation was established to raised funds through the tremendous support of our generous donors, to support Dunnville War Memorial Hospital and Edgewater Gardens.
To meet the growing needs of the community, the Foundation has embarked on the ‘Every Moment Counts’ Campaign, to raise a minimum of $3 million dollars for the new Emergency Department at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital.
Thank you for 45 years of support!

ABOUT OUR HOSPITAL
The bricks and mortar of our hospital began by a generous building donation of a local resident, F.R. Lalor in 1920. While there have been many physical changes to our hospital over the years, the loyal support from our donors and the commitment to the provision of quality care remains steadfast, rooted and grounded in our community.
The Hospital opened in 1920, with 20 beds, a small nursery, operating room and a portable x-ray machine used only for fractures. Today, our Hospital has 12 Long Term Care beds, 22 Acute Care Beds and 2 Respite Care Beds. Their surgical services have expanded to include: general surgery, a variety of Laparoscopic procedures, Endoscopy, minor Urology, ENT procedures and basic Orthopaedic surgery. Their Diagnostic Imaging Department has replaced the single x-ray machine with many services, such as general radiology, Gastrointestinal x-rays, I.V.P.s, Ultrasound examinations, Mammograms, Needle Localization, Operating Room Radiology, Bone Density,
Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitors and a CT Scanner. Visiting specialists also hold clinics to provide a complete range of care for the community it serves.
